DV/IP
base stations are designed to interconnect directly with any
TCP/IP network, including the Internet. However, in some private
land mobile systems, it is not desirable to utilize the Internet
for inter-site networking. In such instances, DWC's DNR Network
Router becomes the hub of a DV/IP network.
Using
Intel Pentium processors, and executing DWC's DV/IP operating
system, the DNR Router serves as a local, regional or wide
area controller. The Network Router can store digital audio,
forward it to a remote DV/IP Network Router or DV/IP base
station, and control and monitor a large number of co-located
base stations.

The
DV/IP DNR Network Router connects to DV/IP Base Stations
by way of 10BaseT Ethernet using RJ-45 connectors.
|
The DNR
is powered from 13.6 VDC, is constructed in a rack-mounted,
industrial grade chassis, and features a front panel LCD liquid
crystal display with florescent back light. The display provides
a maintenance technician with operation and test information.
A standard PC keyboard may be plugged into the front panel
keyboard connector for testing purposes.
Two DNR
Routers may be connected to the same 100 Base T LAN to provide
a fully redundant multiple Network Router. Single or dual
Ethernet busses may be used. A Network Router can directly
support any number of DV/IP dispatch consoles and desktop
Dispatch Workstations.
