The DV/IP Radio System desktop audio application connects a DV/IP Desktop Audio device to a user-provided PC-compatible desktop computer. The computer acts as an IP Router and connects to remote DV/IP base stations.

The computer runs DWC's DV/IP Desktop Router-Server, which provides IP and serial interconnectivity, as well as dispatch control screens, GPS-based map tracking of remote DV/IP mobile radios and other optional functions.

The PC computer must provide a Ethernet connection to the Internet and a serial port to support the DV/IP Desktop Audio device.
