The DB-1500 RF power amplifier provides either single or dual 100 watt RF amplifiers in a single 1.75 inch (483 mm) tall EIA rack mount chassis. It is the companion to the DB-1000 series base stations.

Each channel includes a 100 watt MOSFET amplifier, low pass filter, calibrated bidirectional coupler (wattmeter), 200 watt switching power supply, a power fail DPST RF switch to shunt around the amplifier in the event of amplifier or AC mains failure, and filtered multiple redundant fan cooling.

When driven by a DB-1000 series base station, the DB-1500 amplifier is controlled by the base station in a closed loop servo, with power set and monitored by by DB-1000. Forward and reflected output power may be read in watts from the front panel of the DB-1500 base station, or remotely through the Internet.

The unit is available as a single amplifier or a dual (two channel) amplifier. Each amplifier channel and power supply is completely separate. The compact unit features multiple cooling fans with easily replaceable filters for use in dirty environments. This unit is not recommended for use with base stations other that the DB-1000 series radios.
