view of the 220 MHz version of the DB-1000 Software Defined
Base Station Repeater. In the upper left are the shielded
transmitter and receiver modules. These units plug into the
motherboard. At the upper right is the bottom side of the
Pentium-class processor. The channel processor module (CPU
and DSP) is directly below it. The UPS batteries are near
the bottom (front). and the plug-in 200 watt switching power
supply is to the lower right. Ample fans provide cooling.
A front panel loudspeaker provides the ability to monitor
analog demodulation to observe co-channel signals. An optional
digital telephone interconnect module is available and nests
atop the channel processor module.
