The new DB-1000 single channel repeater is the successor to the pioneering DB-400 all-digital base station. The DB-1000 mounts in a standard 19" (483 mm) EIA rack and utilizes only one rack unit of height (1.75 inches or 44.5 mm).

The radio is available in three bands, and contains a 200 watt switching power supply, internal standby battery, an all-digital dual diversity receiver with three antenna inputs, a 25 watt transmitter (35 watts at VHF), triple DSP signal processing, and a Pentium class 400 MHz embedded control processor. The unit contains a 12 channel GPS receiver, necessary for i2way Network operation, which can also provide ephemeris data to speed GPS lock time and differiential operation.

The DB-1000 includes an internal rechargeable battery which provides one hour of backup power, and is powered by either external 12 volts or 120/220 VAC. Add a duplexer, transmission line and an antenna, and you have a complete repeater system. Or connect additional DB-1000's through Ethernet to build a trunked system. Rear panel connections include Ethernet (RJ-45), antennas, USB, VGA out, keyboard in, RS-232 serial, DC in/out, accessories, and AC input. A multi-site network is constructed by simply interconnecting DB-1000's at multiple sites using any wide area data network. Made in USA.
