Repeater Site Linked by Microwave (Four
channels shown)
All that is needed to link a remote DV/IP repeater
site(s) is to connected the site's Ethernet LAN to the remote
site(s). 5.8 GHz microwave is one wireless method that is
low in cost, simple and effective. Several third party manufacturers
offer Ethernet-ready microwave radio links. Western Multiplex's
Tsunami is one such unit (shown above), providing 4 mbps connectivity,
far more than required. Simply connect the Ethernet hub to
the microwave link radio, and that's it. Your networked trunked
site is done.
