DV/IP™ Networking - Basic Trunked System Site

Basic Repeater Site (Four channels shown)

Each DV/IP Repeater contains an integrated Router with RJ-45 Ethernet connectivity. Linking a number of repeaters together by way of a low cost Ethernet hub instantly results in a trunked repeater system. The lowest channel number repeater functions as the Site Controller Router. Should that unit fail, all of the other repeaters contain integrated Routers and one of them assumes the role of the Site Controller Router.

Since the DV/IP protocol utilized one data stream for encrypted audio and control data, no audio wiring is necessary. That's al there is to a repeater site, not including the antenna cabling.
